COMMERCIAL SITE ENGINEERING/SITE DEVELOPMENT
Johnson & Anderson, Inc. has gained substantial experience in helping clients plan and implement development of their real estate. This experience includes site engineering services such as site grading, storm drainage, roads, parking, necessary utilities, erosion control, land balancing, and aesthetics. This experience ranges from providing all site civil services on projects of the magnitude of regional shopping centers to design of site civil for free standing commercial structures at a specific location. These services have been provided to a variety of clients ranging from large national developers to small individual developers. Johnson & Anderson has also completed work assignments for large national retailers. In addition to the projects listed above, Johnson & Anderson has provided all Site Civil Design for two of the largest shopping centers in the metro Detroit area: Lakeside in Sterling Heights and Fairlane Town Center in Dearborn. These services were performed in the 1970’s and 1980’s and were performed for The Taubman Company. J&A has been providing continuing engineering services at these centers with the addition of such stores as Lazy Boy, Kohls, Circuit City, Ethan Allen and numerous restaurants. Similar services have been provided at other Taubman Properties such as Woodland Mall in Grand Rapids, MI; Briarwood Mall in Ann Arbor, MI; West Farms Mall in Connecticut; Short Hills Mall in New Jersey; and Marley Station in Maryland.
In addition to shopping center development, J&A has provided Site/Civil engineering for numerous national retailers such as Circuit City, Best Buy, Kohls, Mervyns, Sachs Fifth Avenue, Dayton Hudson Companies, Lord and Taylor and Target. These stores have been sited in a variety of locations including free standing, as an addition to an existing center or as part of an existing development. In addition, J&A has performed site/civil services for Kmart Corporation at locations in Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin as well as several Burger King locations and 16 Rainbow Child Development Center locations. Leo’s Coney Island has recently engaged the services of J&A for development at several locations.
J&A has assisted major drug store chains with their expansion into Michigan. J&A has completed site design and engineering for 16 Rite Aid Drug Stores, 10 CVS Drug Stores and 13 Arbor Drug Stores.
